Easy Cauliflower Cheese Burger Recipe

I love experimenting with food and I genuinely think vegetarian and vegan burgers are seriously underrated.

This particular cauliflower recipe is loaded with flavours and you won’t even realise anything’s missing. Don’t get me wrong, I love a cheeseburger but the minute I had a cauliflower cheese burger in university, I was lured by this beast of a burger.

Next time you want to try something new at home, get some good quality brioche bun make these cauliflower cheeseburger patties and savour the warm and crunchy flavours of this burger.

Ingredients

Serves: 4

  • 1 Cauliflower
  • 2 Eggs
  • ½ cup cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Method

Prep: 10 min > Cook: 15 min > Ready to eat: 25 min

  1. Grate cauliflower finely, let it sit for a couple of minutes and then pan roast it on a low flame till the mixture looks completely dry.
  2. In a bowl, add the dried cauliflower mixture, cheese, eggs, oregano, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Once this is nicely mixed. Use your hands to form patties.
  3. Heat a pan and drizzle some oil, to this add the patties and let them cook on a medium setting for 3-4 minutes, then flip and cook the other side.
  4. Now these patties are ready, get some good quality baps, slather some mayo, guacamole and salad or your favourite sauce and this cheesy cauliflower burger is ready!
